Dubai and Abu Dhabi are an hour from Karachi, and nothing has to be worked around
In Dubai the same business will search for a digital marketing agency one month and an AI automation partner the next, and both searches are usually about one thing: enquiries that arrive and go cold. Wobble works from Karachi and has no United Arab Emirates office. Every other market page on this site has to explain away a distance. This one does not, so the useful content is what a genuinely shared working day changes about a build, and what it leaves untouched about Arabic and about where your data is allowed to sit.
One hour, all year, and a working week that finally lines up
Hiring an AI automation agency in Dubai does not require the agency to be in Dubai. It requires a shared working day, somebody answerable by name, and a build that treats UAE data rules and the Arabic question as design inputs rather than as paperwork added at the end. Karachi is one hour from the United Arab Emirates, which is the closest this company gets to being local anywhere outside Pakistan.
Karachi runs on UTC+5 and Dubai and Abu Dhabi on UTC+4. Neither side changes its clocks, so the gap is one hour on every day of the year rather than a number that moves twice. A Karachi team working nine to six covers eight to five in the Emirates. That is not overlap. It is the same day.
The working week used to be the awkward part and mostly is not any more. The UAE federal government moved to a Monday to Friday week in January 2022, with a shortened Friday and the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, and a large part of the private sector followed. Some UAE companies whose business is mainly with the rest of the Gulf kept the Friday and Saturday weekend to stay aligned with their customers, so the sensible thing is to check which pattern your own office actually runs rather than assume the federal one.
Where both sides run Monday to Friday, the mismatch is roughly half a day: Friday afternoon is an ordinary working afternoon in Karachi and a quiet one across much of the Emirates. Compare that with what the other market pages on this site have to bargain for. The United Kingdom page argues for four or five shared hours and the United States page argues for almost none. Here the shared day is the default and no one has to build a process around losing it.
The question that tests a supplier
Ask what time their team starts and finishes, stated in your time, and which day of the week nobody is there. A supplier eight hours away answers that vaguely because there is no good answer to give. It should take one sentence.
Arabic, which Wobble does not offer, and what that rules out
Wobble works in English and Urdu. That is what the company's own published data says and it is not going to be quietly upgraded because a page about the Gulf would read better with Arabic on it.
In the Emirates a large amount of business genuinely runs in English, which is why that limit is survivable here in a way it is not everywhere. It stops being survivable the moment your customers write to you in Arabic. An automated reply composed by people who cannot read the language it is written in is a risk carried by you, not a saving.
The arrangement that works is unglamorous. Wobble builds the system and owns the logic. An Arabic speaker on your side, or a partner contracted for it, writes and approves every customer-facing template, every fallback line and every escalation message, and nothing goes live in a language nobody on the approving side reads. A model's translation of a template is a draft. It is not an approval, and treating it as one is how a polite message becomes an insulting one.
Right to left layout is a build item rather than a setting. Message templates, dashboards and generated documents all render differently and getting them right costs time that belongs in the estimate. Naming it now is cheaper than finding it during user testing.
WhatsApp is the channel here, and WhatsApp calling is not
Across the Emirates WhatsApp is a normal first business channel in a way it is not in the United Kingdom or the United States, and that is the one thing this market shares with Pakistan. It is also the part of the work Wobble has the most practice at, which is set out on the WhatsApp agents page.
Voice is the exception and it catches people out. Voice and video calling over internet applications has long been restricted on UAE networks by the telecommunications regulator, with licensed alternatives offered in their place, while ordinary WhatsApp messaging is unaffected. That is a regulator's decision, it has moved before and it can move again, so confirm the current position with your own operator rather than taking it from an agency page, this one included.
What it means for a build does not change with the detail. An AI voice agent aimed at a UAE audience runs on a real telephone number, and messaging automation and voice automation are two projects rather than one. A proposal that treats them as a single line item was written for a different country.
Which regime your data sits under, before deciding where it lives
The Emirates has a federal personal data protection law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, in force since January 2022. Companies registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre and in Abu Dhabi Global Market sit outside it and fall under those centres' own data protection rules instead. Nothing here is legal advice and your own adviser should confirm which applies to you.
What a supplier can usefully speak to is narrower and more practical. Know which of those regimes you sit under before deciding where the database lives, who is allowed to read it, and how far a request to delete somebody has to reach. That decision costs an afternoon in week one. Reversing it in month six costs considerably more, because by then four systems hold a copy.
- One place that holds the record of a person, decided before anything is connected to anything
- A written list of every third-party tool that ends up with a copy, including the automation platform's own execution history
- Consent stored as a field with a date and a source rather than inferred from the list somebody arrived on
- A deletion path somebody has actually walked end to end, rather than a paragraph in a contract
The broader version of that argument, and what ownership of the accounts means in practice, is on your data and who owns it.
If you searched for a marketing agency rather than an automation one
Most of the Dubai searches that reach this company are not typed with the word AI in them. They are typed as digital marketing agency, advertising agency, social media agency, SEO agency, web design agency, branding agency, lead generation company or ads management, with a city name on the end. The people typing those are usually describing the same underlying problem: enquiries arrive and nobody answers them quickly enough, or the person answering is doing three other jobs at the same time.
Where that overlaps with what Wobble actually does, it does it: paid media, the systems that catch and answer what the advertising produces, and the reporting that says which of it worked. Response speed is usually the cheapest thing to fix first and it is covered on lead response and booking.
Where it does not overlap, saying so quickly is worth more than a meeting. Wobble is not a brand identity studio and does not produce Arabic creative. If what you want is a branding agency or an Arabic-language design team, this is the wrong supplier and you will get there faster by hearing it now.
There is no published UAE client, and this page is not going to imply one
The portfolio on the work page publishes engagements in Pakistan, the United States, Australia, Germany and Mexico. None of them is in the Gulf. A page that hinted otherwise would be the first thing a buyer checked and the last thing they forgave.
The nearest published evidence, and what it is worth here. The portfolio runs to twenty five or more engagements across six countries. Two of them speak to a Gulf buyer: a Texas property firm whose telephone line is answered and dialled by agents at a scale of hundreds of conversations each day, and a New York eye clinic where appointments now reach the diary with almost nobody touching them. Both are operated from Karachi, across a time difference several times larger than this one. See the work, with the numbers.
That evidence proves the systems run at volume and are operated across a time difference by a team based in Karachi. It proves nothing about Arabic, nothing about UAE regulators and nothing about how a Dubai buyer prefers to be sold to. So the honest shape of a first engagement here is one narrow system with a measurable before and after, not an operating system. The people who would be accountable for it are named on who runs Wobble, and how an engagement is run month to month is on how it works.
When to rule this out in the first week
If your own policy requires personal data to stay inside the country and never be read from outside it, a team in Karachi is the wrong shape for the parts of the system that touch that data. That is a policy decision rather than a technical obstacle and it is cheaper to establish before anybody writes a proposal.
If procurement requires a locally registered supplier, or a trade licence in a particular free zone, fit does not matter until that is resolved. Ask the question in the first call.
If your customer conversations happen mainly in Arabic and nobody on your side can own and approve Arabic copy, wait until somebody can. This limitation cannot be engineered around and a supplier who says otherwise is selling you a problem that arrives in month three.
And if nobody internally can give the first month a few hours a week, wait. The map of how work actually moves through your business cannot be drawn without your own team, wherever the supplier sits.
Common questions
How many hours a day would we overlap with a team in Karachi?
Effectively the whole working day. Karachi is UTC+5 and the Emirates UTC+4, neither side changes its clocks, so the gap is one hour every day of the year. A Karachi day from nine to six covers eight to five in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The only real mismatch is Friday afternoon, which is an ordinary working afternoon in Karachi and a quiet one here.
Does Wobble work in Arabic?
No. Wobble works in English and Urdu, which is what the company's own published data says. English-language internal systems are buildable. Arabic customer-facing copy needs an Arabic speaker on your side or a contracted partner to write and approve every template, fallback and escalation message. A model's translation is a draft, not an approval.
Can we use WhatsApp voice calling to reach customers in the UAE?
Not reliably. Voice and video calling over internet applications has long been restricted on UAE networks by the telecommunications regulator, with licensed alternatives offered instead, while ordinary WhatsApp messaging is unaffected. A voice agent for a UAE audience should be designed around a real telephone number, and the current position confirmed with your own operator rather than with any agency page.
Which data protection rules apply if the build team is in Pakistan?
The Emirates has a federal personal data protection law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, in force since January 2022, and companies registered in the DIFC or ADGM fall under those centres' own rules instead. Your adviser should confirm which applies. What matters to the build is deciding in week one where the record of a person lives, which tools hold a copy and how far a deletion request has to reach.
Does Wobble have clients in the UAE?
No. The published portfolio covers Pakistan, the United States, Australia, Germany and Mexico, and none of those engagements is in the Gulf. The nearest published evidence is voice work running at more than 500 calls a day for a Texas client and hands-free appointment booking for a New York clinic. That proves the systems run at volume across a time difference. It proves nothing about Arabic or about UAE regulators.
When is a remote supplier the wrong choice for a UAE business?
When your own policy requires personal data to stay in the country, when procurement requires a locally registered supplier or a particular free zone licence, when your customer conversations are mainly in Arabic and nobody on your side can approve the copy, or when nobody internally can give the first month a few hours a week. The last one sinks projects regardless of where the supplier sits.
